Special Olympics
If your child does not have a current Special Olympics Medical and Release on file, then they will NOT be allowed to compete. Your child's classroom teacher will send out a blank medical and release form at the beginning of each school year or when your child's physical is about to expire. Please get these filled out and sent back to school so that your child can participate. They are good for three years.
The Mecklenburg County Special Olympics Link has all of the local forms needed for competition including the due dates. Please visit this link to find the dates that your child/student will be participating. If you are unclear as to which sport they are participating in, please contact their classroom teacher or PE teacher. The medical form and SO release form can also be found here. Please print it out and bring it with you the next time your child has a doctor's appointment.
